This trip is a pilot-trip: it will take place for the first time an it will lead you into a completely unknown province of Italy: the Basilicata.
We shall first visit Matera: the little town scarved into the rocks. Then we shall go to Policoro, at the seaside. Here we shall have time for the beach and also for a cultural highlight: the relicts of Magna Grecia.
Then we continue our trip to the Nature Parc of the Pollino. We shall go on a beautiful hiking tour in the hills of the park. Very delicat food will be prepared for aus by the great and famous cook Federico Vallicenti. We shall also see, how the bagpipes are built and, with a little luck we shall participate in an evening-gathering with autentical folk-music and folk-dance.
Towards the end of the week we shall go to Maratea - again at the sea-side; this time the Thyrrenian Sea.
Again we shal go for a nice hike - right above the cliffs. There will also be enough time for the beach and the lovely little town.
I want to show you this unknown part of Italy. Crossing the Basilicata from coast to coast and show its richness of art, culture and nature.
